Grant has had over twenty years experience in a variety of corporate finance roles in large industrial companies and advisory firms. In addition to Australia, Grant has worked in Hong Kong, Singapore and Zurich and participated in transactions in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Immediately prior to joining Origin, Grant worked for ABB Ltd for 14 years, where he held senior management positions and worked on a number of key corporate finance transactions.

In M&A transactions, Grant has completed 15 purchase or sale of business transactions, all of which involved structuring and project management, with complex due diligence processes.

Grant was directly responsible for the valuation of ABB's power generation business (value AUD 7 bn) and a member of the structuring team in order to create the ABB ALSTOM Power JV. He was project leader for preparing the valuation for the integration of the Elsag Bailey business acquired by ABB (transaction value AUD 2 bn).

In project delivery, Grant’s roles have included overall transaction project management, sale and purchase contract negotiation, transaction structuring, including assessment and management of key accounting and taxation issues. Grant has also led teams that dealt with and settled post-transaction closing issues, including arbitration procedures.
