Ben has 10 years experience in corporate advisory practice, including capital raisings, divestments and mergers and acquisitions for both private and public companies.

Prior to joining Origin Capital Group in 2006, Ben was an executive director at Newport Capital Group, specialising in technology-based transactions in the telecommunications, information technology, digital media and engineering industry sectors.

Previously, Ben was an investment manager with Australian Multimedia Enterprise Limited managing a A$45million project investment fund focussed on multimedia and online projects.

Ben has been a member of IR&D Board’s Competitive Grants Committee where he has been involved in assessing proposals for research and development projects across a diverse range of industries. He is also a qualified metallurgist and has worked for BHP, Port Kembla, where he specialised in failure analysis of alloy steels and cavitation erosion of non-ferrous alloys.
